LexisNexis AMP - Annual Maintenance Program for Time Matters
Bottom Line: If you will continue to use Time Matters then AMP makes sense for most users. If you aren't sure about the continued use of Time Matters or have a cash flow issue or don't expect to need a new version within three years and you won't need Lexis tech support in the next three years then perhaps you can risk forgoing AMP. (Visit the Lexis Time Matters web site for official information, if you find any differences between what we state and the Lexis site, obviously use the Lexis site as the final word.) Outlined below is our cost analysis of AMP over three years.
AMP is a 12 month subscription from Lexis and provides access to the most current version of the software, plus tele tech support from Lexis for their product(s). The big change is a 're-instatement' fee (re-in in the chart below) for those who have let AMP lapse. After 4/30/2010 this extra fee will apply. The fee is calculated at number of users x number of months x $ xx. (For Time Matters we believe the current $xx fee is $12.50 and with the addition of Billing Matters $20.00.)
