While Windows^® XP Home and Windows Vista Home Premium are supported, we strongly recommend running a business edition.  Because of limitations placed on home editions by Microsoft, home editions will not be supported as a server platform or as a client in an office using a domain controller.

Due to restrictions on the number of concurrent inbound connections allowed in various versions of Windows, the maximum number of concurrent users supported when running Windows XP  Workstation as your server is 10. The maximum number of concurrent users when running Windows Vista home Premium is 5 and Windows Vista Business is 10.

These are recommendations for a typical environment. Needs will vary depending on the number of concurrent users and the number of Enterprise level applications also installed on the server.
