mouse/keyboard approach. In method # 1, the NEW MEETING is created entirely by
voice. And method #2, you can see the number of times the user is required to
switch hand positions between the keyboard and mouse.

Voice Command Structure
Primary and Secondary Words
Voice Commands consist of a word or phrase.
Phrases are generally a Primary and Secondary
word. Each command has been pre-programmed with the appropriate Time Matters
keyboard or mouse movements that will perform the action.
Voice
Command Groups
The Primary words (NEW, OPEN, VIEW,
AREA) result in easy to remember groups of voice
commands.
The Secondary words are the names of general or
specific record types, or menu options within Time Matters.
"NEW EVENT" opens a new Event form .
"NEW MEETING" opens Event Form and completes the
code MTNG.
Navigating Lists,
Forms and Menu Options
The same primary/secondary voice command
structure applies to the use of VIEW, OPEN AND AREA voice
commands.
OPEN
The primary word OPEN combined with a list
or form name, provides an easy and fast way to open any list or form for Time
Matter records.
For example,
"OPEN MATTER LIST"
opens up a list of matters.
"OPEN RELATED" will open the Related Tab of that
record.
Voice Commands are available to open any of
the contact and matter tabs, however, a one time change is required in Time
Matters to enable some of the Tab Labels. See the instruction on the
following page for the steps necessary to change the default Tab Labels.
VIEW
Likewise, the primary word VIEW combined
with a item from the Time Matters View menu will toggle the view on or
off.
For example,
"VIEW NOTIFY" opens (or closes if already open) the
Notify section.
"VIEW USER" will open or close the User section of a
form.
AREA
The primary word AREA combined with an
area number (1 thru 14) will cause the cursor to jump to the first filed of the
numbered area.
For example,
"AREA 2" On
the Matter Form will jump to the Primary Contact ( Area 2).
System
Requirements
